I’m Anne-Marie. I hail from Mayo, Ireland, and I like ducks, GAA, bridges, GAA, Roy Orbison, arguing, GAA, Dylan Moran, GAA, red wine and most of the people around me.
I dislike Simply Red, chocolate bars with peanuts in them, losing All-Ireland finals and the rest of the people around me.
I write (mostly in the middle of the night) because I love it, about things I care about. You’ll find me doing just that in The Mayo News twice a month. You’ll also find me writing about GAA over on Mayo Club ’51.
By day I do lots of things; community development, research, digital stuff, depending on what day you get me. I do sports that involve moving in straight lines only, and I’m an unashamed idealist.
